resolves #139 🎉

I'm jumping the gun a little here since the PR for the big changes into CascadeStudio hasn't been merged yet, but I think it's worth it because 1 this makes the integration much simpler, + there was a bug I didn't know how to solve before that's just fixed not that I suspected had to do with the order things loaded and is difficult to figure out without the project being bundled.
